“The first duty of a man is to think for himself”~ José Martí

Write about a literary character who comes to life out of the pages of a book and develops a mind of their own. How does this character handle being “alive”?  Is their literary world different from the one we live in and how do they react?  How do they interact with “real” living, breathing people? Would you “hang out” with this character? Do they become rebellious with their new-found freedom?

Get creative, write and have fun!
